Oatcakes for breakfast

Most supermarkets sell oatcakes and if you haven't tried them then you really ought to.  A lot like a pancake but savoury. Add any filling you like and grill for a couple of minutes either side.

This was my 'I'm in a rush to get out' snack.

A good bit of protein in the morning keeps the hunger at bay for a good few hours.

Oatcake with cheese and pancetta
Pancetta rather than bacon because it frys or grills so quickly



Fry bacon/pancetta for a couple of minutes, no need for any oil it has fat of its own. When it's done put it onto some kitchen towel paper to absorb any excess fat. Whilst this is frying grill the oakcake on one side for 1 minute, turn it over and lay a couple of strips of cheese on top and grill for another minute. Add the cooked bacon/pancetta, bit of mayonaise, roll and eat.



Delicious but 1 is never enough!
